What Is The Quality Of Your Fax Lists?
While no list is 100% accurate due to the rapid changes in
todays busy world, CIM continually tests fax numbers. The
Opportunity Seeker/MLM lists
that you receive from CIM are recently tested within 7-21 days and
were 100% connectable at that time. There will be numbers that
will be busy when you are broadcasting plus with the increasing number of internet users, most of which use their fax lines for an internet dial-up, the amount of connectable numbers will vary at any given time.
What Are The Best Days To Fax?
Many
marketing authorities will say that the best days to fax are
Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. The reasoning behind this is
that Monday is what some would consider to be a get back into the
swing of things kind of day.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are considered to be midweek, which
is when some believe that individuals are once again sick of their
J-O-B-S and are more apt to look at an opportunity. Then Friday rolls around and some believe that people are more
concerned with the weekend activities. This is what some will tell
you, but I am going to tell you differently or rather I am going to
share with you my experience.
When
CIM got started, we sent our fax ads from PC's and our calling plan supported faxing on Fridays, so
that's what we did. Additionally, we also did some faxing on
Saturdays, which by the way yielded the best response we have ever
had.
In
my opinion ~ You Can't Say The Right Thing To The Wrong Person and
on the other hand, You Can't Say The Wrong Thing To The Right
Person. If someone is going to be interested, they will be
interested no matter when they receive your advertisement.
I
personally don't think that there is a right or wrong day to
advertise. I believe that you have to do what feels right for
you. Business have been advertising seven days a week for
years. Remember to go back to the basic principles, which are
that you must consistently get your information out to the masses
and those who are interested will be moved to action when the time
is right for them.
What Kind Of Response Can I Expect?
The response rates for faxing are generally 1/2 to
1 percent. That's 5 to 10 responses per 1000 delivered
faxes. You need to keep in mind is that averages are
calculated over time. What this basically means is that your
response rates will fluctuate. Sometimes they
will be great, sometimes they are will be fair and sometimes they
will be poor. No one can guarantee response rates because
what moves a recipient to action is an individual thing.
I
can tell you this though. The
key to a successful marketing campaign is consistency. You
have to get your information into the hands of the masses on a
consistent basis. Fix and refine your marketing literature
until you find what works for you and then stick with it for the
long term and you will have success.
So
many people have caught the get rich quick wave. Now I don't
want to burst your bubble, but let me tell you folks, constructing
a business takes time. Sure some people obtain success
quickly, but it is a very small percentage. I'm not telling
you this to discourage you, I just want you to be realistic.
When you embark on something with your eyes wide open, the
likelihood of achieving your goals is much greater, whereas, if you
have unrealistic expectations, you are setting yourself up for
failure.
How Many Others Will Receive The Same Database Of Fax Numbers?
CIM has an extensive database of fax numbers plus
we test, clean and format new lists regularly. We also ask
that you indicate the business(es) that you will be promoting when you
purchase a list, which helps us to better monitor the use of our
databases. We never re-sell an identical database.
Does that mean we can guarantee that there will not be any
duplication? Absolutely not. No list company can guarantee
that because there are only so many fax numbers for Opportunity Seekers/MLM
to go around. Numbers are mixed and matched so to speak.
Tidbit: Many people have a misconception that duplication is
bad, when in fact, duplication is a wonderful thing. Did you know
that it is a proven fact that people respond to something only after
they have seen it several times. I believe the rule is 3 to 6
exposures. So what does that tell you? Think of it this
way: when an individual is exposed multiple
times, you have a much better chance of getting their attention and
moving them to action.
Something To Think About: How often do you see ads for McDonalds, Best Buy, Sears and numerous
other companies?
When you are seeking something, you recall the ads you've seen. Out of sight, out of mind ~ But if you see something multiple times, it becomes embedded in memory.
The principles of marketing are all the same although the methods many vary.
What Are The Legalities of Faxing?
Please Note: The advertising of goods, products, or real property by transmitting unsolicited facsimiles may be in violation of state and federal law, and may subject the advertiser to civil penalties.
The laws regarding fax transmissions vary by state. We have
researched and always act in accordance with the TCPA. Articles are available by visiting the Federal Communications Commission
website. http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/information_directory.html
Tidbit: The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has extended the
effective date to January 1, 2005 - the new rules requiring written consent before sending advertising faxes.
Note: The fax numbers that we offer
to our customers are of individuals that have opted to receive
additional information based on the guidelines of the fax laws. We
test our numbers prior to distribution, which provides the recipients
ample time and the opportunity to request to be removed if desired, thus
providing our customers with much cleaner lists. Even with this
system in place, there may be times when an individual receives unwanted
faxes. There are several reasons for this.
The remove instructions were not
followed correctly.
They did not submit their remove
request prior to distribution.
They have opted onto several lists
unknowingly and are being
inundated with faxes and no longer wish to receive them.
They have requested to be removed from
another list. Many people
think that all the faxes they receive come from the same source
and
do not realize that they must submit a request for each fax
received.
Human input error
And More...
Additionally, although the Opportunity
Seeker/MLM
lists that CIM offers are generally
home based numbers, there are times when a business is opted into a
list, starts to receive faxes and the management gets upset. The
problem is that the majority of people do not understand how lists are
compiled and in the case with businesses, it happens most often because
an employee has requested information and provides the fax number at
their place of employment, which by law, gives the broadcaster the right
to fax to the number provided.
There are a multiple variations of the
aspects of list management and 99% of the time, the system works as it
is designed to, but there are times when something slips through the
cracks, so to speak, and must be handled individually. CIM has
been distributing fax lists for over 6 years and has never
has an issue with unwanted faxes that could not be handled by anything
but communication with a recipient.
